Dark souls update not downloading

Every other game works fine, even downloading works, as soon as I put dark souls 2 in and try to download its update I get... -> cant download the update to test connection open blah blah blah, status code 4174 - 000 - D080 - 0200 - 8007 - 0570, I have
tried almost everything to tackle this problem via support posts, nothing is wrong with my connection, nothing is wrong with downloading OR updating other games, JUST dark souls 2 won't let me download its update, I need help within the week otherwise I miss
out on special content!!! None of us want that lol

The recent download (update/patch) won't download to my Xbox. My connection is good and my other games download just fine. After checking the dark Souls 2 forums, I see that I am not the only one that is unable to play DS2. What's going on?

Try clearing your console's cache by going to settings, system, storage, highlight hdd, press y button, select clear cache, and then restart your console. Hopefully it should work for you.

 

So, as it turns out they have shutdown dark souls 2 servers for maintenance, started right at the time I inserted my game , so it may be nothing to do with Microsoft and everything to do with dark souls servers

 

LoL yeah that whould explain it. I actually had almost the same thing happen to me just a couple of days ago on PSN. Put the game in. It then logged into the Darksouls2 gameserver, but it dident want to DL the latest calibration.I tryed it a couple of times,
and eventually gave it up. Later I noticed when I tryed to go into the PSN store it told me it was Down for maintanence, and I figured that must have been the problem. Next day everything was back to normal. Whould have been nice with an ingame message to
explain the situation tho

Well holy shiznizzles!!! It still doesn't work :/ great missed out on all but 1 item from majula house basement chest

 

Yeah mine still wont work i contacted xbox they are no hep though

 

One thing I haven't tried (because I don't have a fuckingcomputer!) Is try downloading update on USB somehow and transferring the data to Xbox afterwards....... FuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUCK!

 

i have thought of doing that but im going to give it a day and if it still doesn't work I'll go buy a usb i guess

I updated a different game yesterday, my downloading works fine, its just dark souls 2 that won't have a bar of it

 

seems to be the same for me can download everything else just fine except that

 

I still can't play DS2. This really sucks.

 

We can only hope its fixed by next week for the majula chest secret item!!!! If not disks get snapped and I forever forbid xbox"'s in my house, the slimey ***
