Dark Souls Region Lock My Life Sucks

I have been out of the USA for a few years and DYING to get Dark Souls 1. While I was away I bought an xbox from a guy from New Zealand. I was never able to GoD the game. Finally I moved to the USA back home and first thing I did was order DS1 on Amazon
and BAM next day it was at my house. I popped it in the 360 and it said "This disk does not match your console region" MRW: [View:http://i.imgur.com/TpyckfI.jpg:550:0]

Seriously is there anyway to play this god damned game other than buying a whole new xbox? Everything I have is USA, card account etc...just the xbox is from New Zealand.

You could always just sell the game you bought and buy the game again that matches the region on your Xbox 360. I suggest checking out New Zealand sellers on Ebay and if your lucky find one that ships worldwide.

 

They should be region 4 like Australia so you could try to find an Aussie seller that can also sells worldwide.

 

Thanks man. Best reply I could get. Im still crying over this though. At least I picked up Dragons Dogma DA at the same time which is friggin amazing as well.

 

One problem is I have no clue if Im a PAL or PAL-E or NTSGJ

 

The console you have should be PAL region 4 if you bought it in New Zealand. Some games are region locked (in your case Dark Souls) but most games are completely compatible regardless of region or video format. Good they are no longer region restricting
games for the new consoles. United Kingdom, Australian and New Zealand games should be compatible with your PAL console.
