Dark Souls III: Lost saved data. HELP!

A few months back, I had to factory reset my Xbox because I had experienced “the black screen of death.” When I set everything back up again, and everything was still in its place. I got on to play DS3 today, and a tab popped up asking me which save I
intended to use. I’d never seen this before, and decided to go with the one that was most recent. Turns out, it was asking me if I WANTED TO USE MY ORIGINAL GAME SAVE OR NOT! The choices were either the save from getting on FIVE MINUTES AGO, or the one from
when I last played. I didn’t know this, and hit the newest save, and now I don’t have a save to continue. I remember the tab saying somthing about “Cloud information”, but I’ve never used the Cloud for this before, and when I followed Microsoft’s direction
to fix it, there was nothing in my storage setting about a Cloud to move stuff from. Does anyone know how I can retrieve the game information? I’ve out a good 500+ hours into this.

Hello There,

Sorry for the issue with your save. As you selected the most recent save, this has overwritten your cloud save. With any Xbox one model, all games are automatically saved to the cloud. When you tried to move from cloud you are moving the save you just created.
On the cloud it does not create multiple saves for the game, like some in game saves do. Unfortunately, at this point you will have to start over.

If the save file was deleted or overwritten there is no way to recover it.

@DENAz666, that is either a blatant lie, or you need to check your sources.

1.) The link you provided is broken.

2.) It does not say get Dark Souls on 360, nor does it say playable on the One "at a later date."

Not sure who exactly is at fault here, but it needs to be made known, and an apology needs to be made. Many people were wrongly encouraged to pre-order this game, and this is not right. Fix it.
