Dark souls code

Two questions:

One: is the dark souls 1 code promised with the purchase of the dark souls 3 deluxe edition coming before the release of dark souls 3?

Two: will the code be for an xbox one compatible version of dark souls 1?

Unless the answer to both questions is yes, i will be canceling my pre order and never ordering from the xbox live store again

1.) Yes. It's supposed to be given about 7-10 days after purchase although it's been delayed lately, but it's still supposed to go out before Dark Souls 3 is released.

2.) It's for the 360 version which will be backwards compatible. There is no Xbox One version of Dark Souls 1.

 

Seeing as how the description for the pre order package says-For a limited time, purchase a digital pre-order of DARK SOULS™ III on the Xbox One Store and get the original Dark Souls playable on Xbox One- (those are the exact words, copied and pasted from
the package description) i feel that i was intentionally mislead and i will therefore be seeking to cancel my order and will henceforth refrain from ever doing business with you again. But i do thank you for finally giving me a straight answer. I would advise
Microsoft to refrain from posting false information on future products to avoid alienating more customers. Thank you for your time.

 

Glad I could get you the answers you were looking for, but I don't really see where the false advertisement is. You will be able to play Dark Souls on the One.

 

I realize that dark souls will be backwards compatible eventually. My issue is that the description led me to believe that this code would alow me to play dark souls on the xbox one as soon as i got it. I already own dark souls for 360, and if i have to
wait anyway, i would rather use the game i own.

 

I was also very upset about the way this was handled and marketed. I bought the bundle because i intended to play the original Dark Souls while waiting for the new one. When purchased on February 16 i was told it would take 7-10 days like everyone else.
After 15 days I am also sick of waiting for a simple download code. I make purchases every week through humble bundle and am quite used to instant redemption. Even knowing this i was willing to wait but now I seriously regret spending $90. Last time I pre-order
anything through Xbox. I'll go back to playing AAA titles on Steam.

 

Ah okay. Which if you already own Dark Souls for the 360, the code would be pointless anyway. I think they may have been expecting the game to be compatible already, but there has been no official word on exactly when that's supposed to happen.
