Dark souls code clarification

I would like someone from xbox support to clarify this for me once and for all. When the dark souls 3 promotional code for the original dark souls finally arrives, will it allow me to play the original dark souls on xbox one or not?

Dark Souls 1 code missing

I purchased Dark Souls 3 on the 17th and thought I would get a code within 7-10 days. Was hoping for some clarification.

Never received promo code for Dark Souls 1 after preordering Dark Souls 3

I pre-ordered Dark Souls 3 and never received my code for Dark Souls 1.

I am not Xbox support but to answer your question yes. When the code does come (when is what we are all frustrated about), it will work like this. You get a message with a code, pop in the code and the game downloads to your X1. Then like any other game
you can play it. Just like any current BC game out on the X1, except I still can't confirm that the X1 and Dark Souls is truly BC yet. Which I think is the problem (my theory anyways). The problem isn't if you can play on your Xbox one, that will be for
certain, the problem is WHEN you will actually get your code. No one knows, hence why so many posts. We are all stuck waiting for it.
