Dark souls 3 won't update calibrations

Hello. I'm trying to play dark souls 3 online but each time I try and retrieve the calibrations it just fails. Anyone know why this might be? No issues with my internet and Ive tried rebooting my xbox, my router and the game.Not happy to not be able to play
this online. Any help is much appreciated

I pre-ordered Dark Souls 3 with promotion for the free backwards compatible Dark Souls. Dark Souls 3 is great but have not received code to download Dark Souls.

I'm having the same problem. Dark Souls 2 was slow to retrieve, now this. Sigh.

 

Yeah it looks like it's an issue with the game servers. And it's the same issue dark souls 2 had.

 

Ya I was hoping with DS3 It would be a different setup and not have this same problem as DS2. All my friends and even my buddy I share with It loads just fine. I put in over 1000 Hours online on DS2 SOTFS before one day I logged on to find my save corrupt
on console and I couldnt retrieve from cloud. Also wouldn't calibrate and what do you know DS3 won't calibrate. 40 hours in hope i don't lose my save. Enjoying single player but i really bought to co op with my buddy It's very frustrating. I hope the devs
fix it this time and not blow it off like DS2 and i really hope they don't say its us. No its most def you guys. All other games run flawless online. If you guys would keep this thread updated if you hear of fix coming I shall do the same. Hoping and Looking

I can't Sync dark souls 3 data or load calibration!!!! HELP!! I tried everything! uninstall profile, hard reset, factory reset, uninstall game ect. the data sync stops at 99% everytime!

 

There is a "Fix" on reddit that seems to work for most people. I tried it and it took about 15 min but it did work.

Start downloading anything in the background (I used an old xbox 360 game) and then launch DS3. If it doesn't connect then go offline and connect from the menu. I tried it a few times and it worked. Once it's connected you can then just pause / cancel the
background download.

Still, it would be great if we could actually get some kind of response from MS or From Software about the issue and if they're aware / working on it. The @DarkSoulsGame twitter feed has a LOT of people complaining about the issue but they don't reply to
anyone.

 

Just adding my voice to this. Game installed and can play off-line - but not receiving calibrations and no on-line features at all. Not really acceptable Xbox, this is a paid for premium service and it is a similar problem to DS2 on your system. Fix
please!

 

To all thats affected by this use the Reddit work around took acouple times but worked no problem. Just search "Dark Souls 3 Calibration FIX" on Reddit. Its crazy that it works. If also possible Email Bandai Namco about it with a link to that thread. The
more ppl that do the better chance they will find and fix this problem. I do know though i wont be turn my game off just gonna sleep at Firelink lol. Praise The Sun!

 

The Reddit workaround doesn't work for me anymore, and when trying to sync my data from the cloud it takes close to 20 minutes to reach 99% and stalls there for a while then fails. This is the only game that won't sync for me. The save data is only 8.8
MB, this shouldn't be happening. I mentioned the sync issue to some friends, literally every single one of them are experiencing both the Calibration issue and the save sync issue.

 

Same problem. Between this and the "syncing data" issue, Im just going to request a refund. Its obvious that the backbone networking systems for this game are messed up. Ill pick it up on sale and hopefully the kinks will be worked out by then.

 

Same here. Me and my friend just bought the game and were planning on playing through cooperatively. But it fails to load the calibrations. I loaded up Dark Souls 2 and it loaded the calibration no problem. Something must be messed up in the servers. Hope
they fix this soon. I won't play it until I can play online. So it's going on the shelf until this issue is sorted out. Which is a real bummer because I was really excited after getting my paycheck to play this game.

 

just so everyone knows this sort of thing is up to the publisher. while these forums are a good place for information, there is not much Microsoft and Xbox can do about it except let them know.
