Dark Souls 3 HELP!!!!!

Hello,

We recently Bought Dark Souls 3 for our family and were very excited to play. We cant seem to get defeat the level one knight or that glass monster. My son is a great gamer and he gets within a hair of beating the knight but cant seem to finish him off.
We are better than average gamers but not experts. We are frustrated but keep trying. However the more we try and fail the more frustrated we get. My kids and I really love gaming and spend a lot of money yearly on in game content subscriptions and games.
I feel if we keep playing and getting frustrated we will give up gaming completely. It feels like time is running for the XBOX one fun until we move past level one on this game. Sound a little extreme but frustration is now getting towards anger and my
kids want to uninstall it / quit XBox. Why is Dark Souls 3 so hard? We downloaded the game digitally and did not notice that this game was for experts only or anything like that.

Any ideas??

Dark Souls Code not received

I pre-ordered Dark Souls 3 with promotion for the free backwards compatible Dark Souls. Dark Souls 3 is great but have not received code to download Dark Souls.

i bought dark souls 3 and got a code for dark souls 1 and it disappeared please help?

 

Dark Souls 3's difficultly is actually lower compared to the previous games. The game maybe frustrating/annoying at times but there's so much satisfaction from defeating the bosses. I'd highly suggest playing as the Knight class if your new, so you can get
used to the game. Whenever Iudex Gundyr's darkness comes out of him, use anything fire. (Firebombs/Pyromancy)

 

I have to agree with Otaku Panda, DS3 is difficult in the amount that makes for greater satisfaction when overcoming challenges. If you don't get in the first go, try again in a different angle. Adapt, adopt and improve.

You might also want to check online videos posted by other gamers that show different ways to beat the first boss.
