Dark souls 2, still playing with no disc or copy of the game downloaded

I deleted Darksouls 2 last night, but left my saved game and the update so I can re-downloaded later. But when I woke up it was still in my games, and still played perfectly with no copy of the game download. It may be nothing, I just feel better safe then

Game code not working

Hello,

I'm having a bit of trouble with getting my copy of dark souls to work.

Originally I had downloaded through a friend's account and I was playing that on my console. But more recently I had acquired a download code for the game that came with dark souls 3. I uninstalled the game, I typed it in, it worked and it said that I now
owned dark souls and then reinstalled the game. However when I tried to play the game it came up with the error message that appears when you try to play a game without the disc inserted (0x803f8001).

I don't own a disc, it wasn't purchased online, it was a code that worked correctly at the time but it still doesn't work when I try to play and I have no idea why.

If anyone can help that would be amazing.

Dark Souls Redemption Code

It was supposed to come with the digital copy of Dark Souls 2: Scholars of the First Sin if I remember correctly. If I'm wrong, no big deal.

 

Seems to be a Darksouls issue, Tried deleting Fight Night champion at request of Microsoft personnel and didn't encounter the same problem, hope that helps in the resolution of the issue.

 

Are you sure that you don't have any other storage device plugged into the Xbox 360 where another copy of the game could be?
