Dark Souls 2 Save Data corrupted after latest patch?

I just recently decided to continue my NG+ Playthrough of Dark Souls 2 (I knew that a patch came out on June 2. So i don't know), but I login to an error message stating my save data is corrupt! I go to check it in my hard drive; as any man should
it shows up as not a corrupted save. I don't know if this is an error on From Software's

end or Microsoft's end, but I would like some answers.

Dark souls 2 problem

So I was on my xbox 360 and I was in the hard drive part looking at my Dark souls 2 data. And for some reason it only showed 1 saved game data file. To further explain the title said SAVE DATA and under it said saved game. but I have 2 characters so shouldn't
it show 2 of those SAVE DATA things. Like with most games if you look in your hard drive it usually shows each characters save. So my question is this. Are my darks souls characters being deleted or are they just going into one collective SAVE DATA on my hard
drive?

 

Darks souls 2 trouble

I was in my xbox 360s storage device(hard drive) and I went to dark souls 2. I seen 3 things my downloading of the dark souls 2 to my xbox. A title update and last one saved game data. But the thing is I have 2 characters. To further describe it said for
the title SAVE DATA and rate under it said saved game. but should that be games or have another saying the same. So I am thinking either my xbox deleted a character or all my characters go into one SAVE DATA instead of some other games were if you have two
characters it will show in your hard drive that there are two distinct Save game data. So I guess my question is. Are my characters getting deleted from Dark souls 2 or are they going into one collective SAVE DATA section in my hard drive.

 

I send my condolences out to you. Corrupt save files are the worst kind of glitch. I once had 150+ hours into TES: Oblivion and was hours from completing it when I got the corrupt save file error message.....on all 10 of my save files!!!!!!! I almost made
the evening news that night.

 

Quick update it's the Game or From Softwares Servers

I tried loading a backup from my PC stated it didn't load properly

 

Another update I scanned the old save with a Xbox USB program all the player data on the save got deleted

 

Game saves don't just become corrupt. Either you dashboarded as it was saving, or something happened when you were putting save files onto your pc. Which I don't know why you would be doing that in the first place..

My save, my brother's, and my friend's save are all fine so it wasn't the patch.

 

It is a well known fact that the game itself even suggests that you save and exit the game manually through the in-game menu and not via the dashboard controls. As long as you make sure to save and exit via the in-game menu then you shouldn't experience
a corrupt save error. That is not to say it WON'T happen but it shouldn't. If this issue persists then you may need to contact support and submit a complaint/ticket to them. I'm of course going off of dark souls 1's info and assuming that dark souls 2 uses
a similar setup as well
