Dark Souls 2 - Invasions not working?

Hi All - I'm about 15 hours into this game, have found many bonfires, yet still haven't been invaded even once. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone have any idea why that might be? I can summon people and be summoned just fine - this part is even
easier to do than it was in DS1. But invasions aren't happening, not that I'm complaining... I was wondering if it might have something to do with my covenant or an item. I'm in the Way of Blue covenant, and I'm wearing the Guardian's Seal. (This item never
seems to work either, BTW. I have never once been summoned as a Blue Sentinel.) Is there something wrong with the covenants or invading? I'm wondering if this will change after the scheduled update tomorrow.

how do u get into someone else's game?

there are a number of different invasion items try looking up the dark souls wiki it will tell you everything

 

NG uses Soul Memory as well as Soul level for everything. Invasions will be almost a non issue in NG. When you go to NG+ Soul memory is not used any more and you will have a higher chance of invasion..... but not much. Having no infinite invasion items
has really cut back on the invasion chances. If you do want to get invaded do something that will get you some Sin. That way you can get Blue dude to invade you as well.

 

Also, the Guardian's Seal will only summon you to other worlds if you are in the Blue Sentinels. It does not work if you are Way of Blue.

 

Thanks guys! What is "Soul Memory"? I'm not familiar with that.

Crusher - I know it wasn't meant to be funny, but it was funny to me to read, "If you want to get invaded..." LOL. Thanks for the tip on the best way to get invaded MORE. I will keep that in mind!

 

Every soul you've ever gained is added to your "soul memory" The higher your soul memory, the higher levelled you connect to. I read somewhere that a level 120 connected with a level 150 because of soul memory.

In other words, it's a pain in the balls for twinks, anti-twinks, and people who enjoy helping low levels.

 

You can find your soul memory in the player data in the menu. It's in the upper right corner. According to the wiki, in order to connect in NG you must have the same level range as DkS and also be within about 25% of soul memory to the other player. If
you wear the name-engraved ring (which you buy from the cat in Majula) and select the same god as another player, then it goes up to about 30%. Note: wearing the ring means you can only connect with players also wearing that ring and also having selected
the same god (it's really made for people to co-op with their friends). You can't summon NPCs with the ring on as you won't see their signs. Also, you can re-select a new god at any time, so you aren't tied into any specific god forever.
