Dark Souls 2 disc not been recognized on my xbox one

All my other game discs work fine,however i bought a brand new copy of dark souls 2 and each time i put it in the xbox it just says insert disc,i returned the disc and got a new one which is giving me the exact same problem, any ideas? thanks

Problem with backwards compatible disc (error 0x8082000c)

I have Dark Souls for Xbox360 in a disc copy, and I installed the game on my Xbox console (which requires Xbox live connection, as you all might know). Many times I have been been able to play this game without connection to Xbox Live (cause al my grandma's
I don't have internet access. Now, however, I cannot play it.

I insert the disc and I get an error message (0x082000c). The disc is recognized, because it shows the option "Install disc", but somehow it is not detected as Dark Souls, which I have already installed.

Recently, I also played Mass Effect with my Xbox360 disc and sometimes I got this error too (and I was connected to Xbox Live all the time). Normally, what I did was to switch off the console anda re-insert the disc, and sometimes IT worked and I could play
again. This trick does not work anymore with my Dark Souls disc.

The discs are fine (they work on Xbox 360), and the Xbox One lens should be fine (all Xbox One discs work perfectly. It seems to be a problem of backwards compatible games only.

Any ideas?

 

No BC discs are recognized

I went through every troubleshooting step as well with support staff, all the way through resetting to factory defaults, and nothing worked. I have tried Jurassic Park, Lost Odyssey, Dark Souls, Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2 -- none worked. All
discs test fine in my Xbox 360 and all Xbox One discs are working fine on my One, so the respective disc drives seem to be functioning as usual.

Interestingly, Disc 2 of Lost Odyssey was at least somewhat recognized because it gave the "this disc is not compatible" error. Disc 1 (the proper one to use for installing) just does nothing.

First off this may sound like a stupid question but did you make sure you have the Xbox One version of the game and not the Xbox 360 version?

Also can you try the following on your Xbox One console

• Press the menu key of the controller.
• Go to Settings > Disc & Blu-Ray.
• In the BLU-RAY section select "Persistent Storage".
• Select "Clear persistent storage".

After that perform a Powercycle (not a regular restart)
