Dark Souls 2 announced.

NO Mans's Wharf is the worst designed level I have ever seen. Half of it is needlessly dark. The torch is a joke. The placement of the sorcery vendor, forcing players to go through the place every time they want to get new spells or magic gear is the stupidest
thing. This isn't a challenge, it's just stupid game design.

Placing lots of mobs in small rooms behind doors or just up stairs is cheap. There's no two ways about it. Turn a corner, get ambushed. Come on, this is what people call challenging? These are the people that think anyone who object to this like having their
'hand held'?

Most of the deaths i've had in this game have been entirely cheap. This wasn't the case in DS1 (until Blighttown, which was unplayable and stupid).

I think this game is some elaborate trolling attempt: how stupid do they think gamers are that they will put up with this and praise it, the emperors new clothes.

And you can't open a chest while shielding yourself, nor do you have enough time to jump out the way. It's a cheap shot, and it's just pointless. If that ain't trolling players, then what is?

 

@Mexicola there is a bell that you have to ring to summon a pirate ship. It's basically far away at the opposite side to where you walk enter NMW.

 

aaaaahhh cheers mate, iv been round it about 4 or so times now and must of just missed it every time, found the shortcut, thought it had something to do with the boat. Feel like im progressing not faster as such but a lot smoother, because i know the enemies
disappear find myself not hanging around where as in Dark Souls i could stay in one place for days

 

If moanotron things NMW is bad I can't wait till he sees The Gutter.

 

Finally found the bell and managed to set sail in the boat...to places unknown!!

 

Picked up DS1, guna try that on the weekend. Hope i dont suck royally at it lool. ANy tips for a souls noob?

 

Oh god, I got to The Gutter! What a horrible, horrible place! Not spoiling it for anyone but i had no idea what was going on for ages and i think I'm lost, managed to light a bonfire, found a big ant thing and thats about it so far! The bosses are coming
a lot faster then Dark Souls 1 i have noticed!

 

Really getting into the first game now. One of the most interestingly designed games I've played in a long time.

 

I was loving it until I met my first Capra Demon, I just couldn't get past it.

 

do the enemies despawn in ds1? Guna jump in over the wknd.

 

No mate they don't, they keep coming back! It's a great game just not prepared to put the time into it. I got killed about thirty times by the same demon over a space of about three days, tried researching ways to get past it on the net etc and just
couldn't manage it, got so close once I almost cried when I died!

 

Never did much PvP in the last one, or any actually but this time done loads so far, loving it! Summoned someone for a boss fight (not saying where or which) and then got invaded by two people, both worked together, killed them both and then went on to slay
the boss, bloody fantastic!

 

I watched the first hour of this on Ginx, that Adam guy is inept on all games anyway, it's fair to say he died a lot! Funny to watch?

 

Time to get my *** whooped again...
