Dark Souls 2 announced.

Well so far i have never been killed my magical chest darts, at least not in one hit, where did you encounter these and again with the mobs, never been killed in one hit by anything, including the few bosses i have come across and like i said previously,
you can undo your health bar shortening, i have done it a few times now.

Once you open up a shortcut here and there, travel time to bosses is nothing, i think at the moment I'm no more then a few minutes mooch from 2 bosses i think, less complaining, put your big boy pants on and crack on with it.

There aren't that many shortcuts in DS2 at all.

Placing bonfitres next to boss areas would solve half the game's problems. Simple, it took me two seconds to realise that solution.

This constant condescending rubbish that accompabnies any discusison of this game is pathtic. It's a video game; why should I give Dark Souls the benefit of the doubt when it goes out of its way to be as player unfriendly as possible.

The fact that mobs eventually stop respawning goes to prove that even the developers realised that constantly making players trudge back and forth over and over is stupid. Unfortunately they just couldn't think of anything better and also inflict a ridiculous
50% death penalty on you which makes fighting the bosses even more tedious.

It's not that they are difficult that's the problem it's that the game uses tediousness instead of difficulty. This is 2014 and this backward game design, ugly graphics, non story and no character should be something held in total ridicule. It's no better
than selling 1994 graphics on an xbox one game. And i bet some cretin would defend that as well, after handing over £60 for it.

Gamers are idiots and get the games they deserve. Why else has Activision gotten away with selling Cod MW for the past 7 years - to massive profit.

 

I'm not going to bother with you any more, its like arguing with my 3 year old but at least she pretends to listen.

Just killed my second boss, really tough fight, love the summons now work correctly, its much fun summoning someone and mooching round the world with, like i said before i think i would prefer it if the enemies didn't despawn, if i didn't want to trudge
through them for the 19th time i can always fast travel but i can understand why they have done it.

Do like the bonfires are more regular though it still feels amazing when you get too one, so far still think its better then the first!

 

Right, I'm taking Dark Souls 1 off the backburner to see if it's as impenetrable as everyone makes it out to be. Then I need to get back to Ninja Gaiden, still haven't beaten that one.

 

I bought Dark Souls 1 when it was in the XBL sales, but it's not for me. Not because it's a bad game, but because I'm rubbish at it lol.

 

The bonfires should be placed before bosses.

The game is cheap. The pursuer can dodge spells? How is that fair - when that's all I have because i'm a sorcerer and i have a limited nuymber of them to attack with?

I couldn't give a stuff about you or your 3 old.

 

I don't think placing checkpoints before boss fights is good design philosophy in a game that's meant to push and challenge. You're only subdividing it into a series of easily digestible parts with little in the way of threat or urgency should you mess things
up.

 

Given that mobs despawn the only difference would be that it does away with the enforced tedium of running back to the boss zone.

 

How long does it take for them to despawn? Could one not argue that the fact that they respawn at all is enough of an inventive to get good and not die so much in the first place? I take your point though. I've only dipped my toes in Demons and barely touched
Dark so I can't talk about much here.

 

The game is cheap because a boss can dodge your attacks. Read it all now.

 

I think they respawn about 15 or so times before they stop, the area they stop in is quite small as well, the place where they stopped spawning for me it consisted of about 8-9 baddies maybe, tops. I can fully understand why they have done it, keeps you
pushing forward and stopping grinding for levels.

 

Stuck mooching around in No Mans Wharf, I know I'm missing something to do but for the life of me i canne find it!
