Dark Souls 1 co-op / help

So after finishing the excellent Dark Souls 2 a few times, i have decided to go back and try to finish Dark Souls 1, just wondering if anyone would fancy trying some co-op and bosses? I'm not too far in, just defeated the gargoyles and trying to remember
which way to go!

Demon Souls vs Dark Souls my opinion....

It's not a 360 vs. PS3 thing, Namco *** up the servers because, well, it's Namco. It's the same for both versions of the game.

How do u even play online on it

 

AS soon as you start the game, you are online. To actually experience the online aspects of the game (invasions and co-op) you need to reverse hollowing. You do this by using an item called Humanity. When you use one, the number in the circle at the top
left of your screen will increase. As soon as you have at least '1' in that circle, go to a bonfire and select reverse hollowing. You are now human and can be invaded, summon co-op players or be summoned yourself.

 

im willing to help you i have a SL 53 character send me a friends request if you want help im also looking for help if anyone wants to coop im stuck in the ornstein and smough boss fight

 

just wondering can you invite friends to you're game and they can join automatically or do you have to use the white sign thing that invites people to you're game?

 

If you have defeated the moonlight butterfly and hydra. Head to the lower undead burg using the key found on the steps outside undead parish. This key will give you access through one of the doors at the far end of the bridge (near your first encounter with
solaire). Down the ladder open the short cut, clear the burg slaughter the Taurus demon then hit the depths. =]

I was wondering if anyone was playing this game with it being free on Gold just now.

Note: you don't have to be human to be summoned.

You have to use the white sign to bring people into your game. If you have someone in your game, your friends can use "Join Session In Progress" while looking at your profile, but that just helps for their signs to appear in your world. It does not actually
bring them into your game.

 

Little hard to play online with the Gwg edition when the game is having update problems. Granted people who are using the Gwg version can still play with other Gwg users of dark souls

 

One can add other players to their IP pool using "join session in progress." To do this, one of the players must either be in the process of being invaded regardless if they actually get in or not (fog walls appear and bonfires go out) summon someone else
to achieve the same effect, regardless if it fails or not. You can also invade someone else's world, successfully get in and achieve the same result

During this time you're in what I can only call "joining mode." It is at this time that "Join progress in session" appears on the person's profile. Many have stated that after selecting this, they can see the summon signs of that person almost immediately
