Dark screen

    Strange. You might want to check the display options of your tv. If you can try a different tv, that would be great and in case the issue still persist, I suggest to request for a service.

    Try checking the Idle Options in preferences in your settings. I believe there is an option in there to turn it off when watching a DVD.

    No I can still see things, they are just dark. Like a dim screen is stuck on it. I’ve tried the reset with saving my stuff. It didn’t work.

    Hello Lorrie,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. If you go into settings>preferences>idle options you can change dim after to 60 minutes. You are unable to go more than this but it will not dim until after 60 minutes.

    I only see a button that says hdmi control and it’s on for allowing the tv to control the hdmi devices. But I don’t see what you’re talking about. I have a new Phillips 4K 65” android google tv.
