Dark screen keeps popping up when I press the X button on my controller!!!!

I need more information to understand what is happening. What console is giving you this problem? Xbox 360/XboxOne/S/X?

Are you enrolled on Microsoft Insider? And can you explain a bit more how are reproducing this issue? Something like this would work :

Example

- I power on my XBOX ONE through the power button

- My user logs in

- I go to "My games"

- etc etc

No, when I see a blank screen and press the X button on my controller it gets stuck on the stupid dark gray screen glitch!!!!😥😩😩😭😭

There is no error that pops up. It just doesn’t respond. Like when I go to a multiplayer screen it says to hit a or any button on controller, I do that but nothing. If I press the Xbox button on that controller it will let me access the main menus

Make sure you have Upload Studio app installed.

Start a game to take a screen shot doubletap the Nexus button on the controller a pop up will appear.

Press A to save as a screen shot, Press X to save as a video.

Please note the screen shot is taken when you double tap the nexus button I believe the video starts ta that point as well, use upload studio to use screenshots as background and save and share what ever you want to do.

You can still sign on when that message comes up. All you do is when the error message pops up press ok then on the next screen press home key (Xbox button on controller) and you will be signed in
