Daily console updates required

I'm constantly having to update my console , this happens every night at the same time , i am part of the preview program and can't access preview forums ? Can somebody please point me in the right direction

You're not required to sign in daily. With some games (and even the console itself) it is required you sign in at least once to get all of the updates (console & game).

 

Not letting me play.

The "update" required to play Original games is the console update, which has the emulation software required to play them. You can follow the instructions above to manually update your console if you need to.

 

Hi Drunken sorry you're having trouble. The updates that are happening are usually to fix bugs and enable new features. If you need help regarding the preview forums, see if the link below will work for you. Hope this helps!

I would suggest starting another thread with the topic "Need Access to Preview Forums" If you do that a staff member will be more likely to see your post and resolve the issue. Good Luck!

I'm having the same problem, for the past week when I start up the console I have to download a console update that's somewhere between 413-421mb everytime. I'm also a preview member, but the updates haven't been this frequent as far as I can remember. Are
there anyway to prevent this or are they just pushing out lots of updates for the preview program lately?

It does sound like you are in the Xbox One Preview Program. The best way to alleviate updates is to turn your console on to the Instant On mode and allow for automatic updates. Xbox
One Power Modes This allows the console to update overnight so you don't see the updates as often.

While this will help with the vast majority of updates your console might see. Sometimes an update comes out and it's mandatory to update right as it's released, but following the above steps will help in keeping those to a minimum.
