    Yes, I restarted my computer recently. I do it regularly, and I realize that powering down the computer is not the same thing as a full restart. Makes no difference. The problem persists.

    I appreciate it. I think it's obvious by now that this isn't a "user error" type of problem with an easy fix. The developers need to investigate and fix this problem which is preventing a lot of users from accessing Daily Challenges.

  6. There is a problem downloading daily challenges data. Please refer to error code 01600. I can not access the games on my account but on another account on same computer has no problem with the games.

    Yes. All the steps prior to Shuffle Party failed to resolve the problem. Windows Event Viewer Logs don't show any errors. The result of successfully installing Shuffle Party and then trying to run it resulted in the following message:

    Sorry, we can't sign you in. Try signing in at Xbox.conm, then start this app again. (-2101608440).

  9. Thanks for the confirmation. There were a number of Windows Updates that went out this week, please check and make sure you have installed them - including any "optional" ones. Then check your antivirus and Windows Firewall settings to make sure the app
    is allowed through.

    If that still doesn't work, please check your Event Viewer as instructed in the linked post and email the info to us, then post here to let us know. Hope this helps!

    I stay current with all Windows Updates and just applied the latest one along with the optional update. After applying the updates, I check and see that Minesweeper is still not working because a connection still can't be made to Xbox llive.

    As I said in my last post, the failure to connect does not result in an error that appears in Event Viewer. My antivirus and firewall programs were already checked a long time ago and neither were blocking the connection.

    This is not a case of user error. Something is broken that Microsoft needs to fix.

    I am running Windows 8.1 on a gaming laptop that is completely up to date with all system updates and device drivers. I have no issues whatsoever with anything other than this one problem with the app (Minesweeper) being unable to sign in to Xbox Live following
    one of the Microsoft Updates.

    It has been a problem and remains unresolved since April 2014.

    The developers at Microsoft need to sit down and look at all published updates for March and April 2014 and figure out which one involved making changes to the way apps sign in to Xbox Live. This is the only way the problem will ever get resolved.

    I don't see the point in my running Windows Update Troubleshooter since I am not having any problems finding and installing operating system updates. Like I already wrote, a Microsoft Update broke something that was previously working flawlessly. This
    is something that can only be fixed by one of the Microsoft developers.
