daily challenge coins. what happens to them

Played solitaire and mahjong daily challenges everyday in December. Racking up over 60,000 coins between them. Jan 1 I go in and they are all gone. What happens to all the earned coins from the previous month? Certainly they must have some value somewhere.
    redeemable for something.

    :)

  2. What happened to all of the gold coins collected completing all of the daily challenges

I completed all of the daily challenge puzzles for January 2017 and collected almost 18,000 coins. I was under the impression that those coins would be applied to my total gold coin count so that I could purchase additional puzzles. However, when I checked
today the daily challenge gold coin total had reverted back to 0 and nothing was applied to my total gold coin count. What happened? If the gold coin total from the daily challenge puzzles is not going to be applied to my total gold coin count, what's the
incentive for doing the daily challenge puzzles? Please do me the courtesy of a reply. Thank you.

daily challenge coins. what happens to them

Ha, that is funny. It all means nothing which is what coins are worth. I just started playing a few months ago and in December I decided to finish all the challenges. I already knew coins were worthless and there were no real rewards but when I finished
the last challenge on the 31st I thought there would be a little acknowledgement of finishing all the challenges for the month but nothing. Really disappointing. No extra worthless coins or congratulations on a perfect month.

    Feature request:

    - Redeem coins somehow. No? Then...

    - Post the coins earned in the player's profile in some braggable way. No? Then...

    - Post to show what percentage of people got different ranges of coins so the player sees where they ranked.

-Why/Who care(s)? I play Solitaire because I have enjoyed the game since the days of Windows 3.1. MS has just added a few more versions of Solitaire plus the daily Challenges plus some other games. I enjoy all of it.

-Look at the Leaderboards by scrolling to the left, not while in the Daily Challenges. If you have friends added, there are your "braggable" earned coins compared to your friends' also sort of where you rank amongst your friends.

-It's fun, folks. Let's enjoy it.

Solitaire, in the days of Windows 3.1, didn't have achievements and challenges and other extra incentives.

So, MS has already taken that road. Why wouldn't they want to hear some feature requests if that would hook more people by the extra enjoyment factor?

I'd totally love to redeem coins by purchasing new backgrounds for the game or some other small thing that wouldn't subtract from their revenue-generating items up for purchase. What's wrong with that, dude?

Nothing is wrong with that. Feature requests are great. I would like to have available new backgrounds or whatever. It just seemed to me this thread started as redeem = money, as an insinuation only, I know it was never mentioned. It costs Microsoft
to develop all this stuff. Yeah, yeah, I know, MS is the giant money-grubbing ogre and we are the poor chumps who have to pay to have fun. Been to a movie lately?

But, the reason I got started with these games was to get to play Solitaire again. Not for coins, not redeemable items, not bragging rights (I'm not that good at games) but just for something to do while waiting for other things to get done.

    I apologize for my misinterpretation.

  9. We actually LOVE to hear feature requests! All we ask is that you make them on Facebook and not here because these forums are really just for technical support.

I actually posed this question on the Microsoft Solitaire Facebook page earlier this month. You should check it out and get involved!

    facebook.com/microsoftsolitaire

Post your feature requests & help with challenges there. daily challenge coins. what happens to them :)

When did MS buy Facebook? I must have missed that news item.

What happens if, like me, you find Facebook a pain in the fundament? Are you therefore denied support?

The consensus seems to be that 'coins' are just BS, so MS why bother?

  11. I love to play solitaire and mahjong just for the fun but I do wish mahjong would come up with star club games as in solitaire as the puzzles for choice are rather boring but I keep playing them solitaire has plenty of new games 12 packs but I've only completed
5 the ones I haven't completed I just keep going back and back again and again until I can complete 1 so the loss of coins doesn't bother me but I do love to achieve them I also play jigsaw

I still have the original 3.1 games on floppy. And I also have several decks of cards that I play solitaire with. Having it on the computer is an easy way to play and not have to shuffle. For me its not about the points and the coins. Its about playing and
having fun. I am leaving this as a comment as I do not have a Facebook account.

In the Microsoft Jigsaw puzzle game you can use the coins to purchase puzzles.

I think that we should be able to use the coins in the other games for things like purchasing new themes or for things in the MS store or Xbox Avatar store.
