Announcing Octodad: Dadliest Catch!

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is coming to Xbox One. It’s is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad’s existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family.

The Xbox One release of Octodad: Dadliest Catch includes the 2 free ‘Shorts’ levels from the get-go, runs at 1080p, and also supports 2-4 player local co-op.

 

My game keeps kicking me out whenever I try to open it! What do I do?

I downloaded Octodad: Dadliest Catch on my Xbox One S but whenever I try to open the game it just kicks me out! I have tried what I could to get it to work.

Please help!

 

Um, it looks like something alright.......

 

I wasn't interested a year and half ago and i'm still not.

(Some games just should stay exclusive).

 

It's an okay game, but it is pretty short and the only good thing is some of the physics based wackiness. There is no way I would pay full price though.

 

Tryed it on ps4 didn't like it

 

When is this celebration of garbage going to end so we can actually experience one, just one Next Gen Game?

And just to clarify, it is the bs claim for the past 5+ years the prior Gen was holding back Developers. Where exactly is the 8Gb RAM and Teraflops going to in this or any Game of recent? I'm also sure this Game looks stellar
in 1080p at 60fps.

Are people not seeing any of this problem? Hardware from over 10 years ago with 16x less performance could make the same exact Game...

I'm with Lost on this one...... it's 2015, a new gen of gaming and threads like these get created? Where is the "OMG over the top X1 games!" that I think we were all expecting? Roundabout, [tag:IDARB], L.A Cops, etc are all B quality time wasters .... there
is not one game showing in the upcoming release tile that excites me...... come on game developers..... earn your keep!

Maybe I'm more easily pleased than others when it comes to games but I'm not seeing a problem.

Sure I'm not saying I like the look of every game being announced but I'm all for developers giving us as much variety as possible, whether it's games with great stories, brilliant online play, titles with eye watering visuals but even games that look like
they could have been made on older hardware, they can still be fun, well for me they can.

Again, not for one second do I expect everyone to feel the same as me, if no-one does it still doesn't change my opinion, I don't see a problem.

I'm with what Doc said above, for me there's ton's of great XB1 titles out there, of course though they won't be for everyone.

 

The physics in this game look hilarious...again these types of games are nothing more than arcade fillers..pass or buy easy as that.

 

Never been interested in this one. Looks garbage.

 

Forza,Ryse,Dead Rising,Alien Isolation,Shadow of Mordor,ect...doesn't looks like 8-bits games,....

And really don't understand,people who bought a $500 console just "by expectation".Buy a console went there are games you want to play on it.

 

I've seen a couple of YouTubers LP this game. So cool it's coming to XBOX ONE. It looks fun and funny. I'll be picking it up if the price is right.
