    DAC/Amp Headset issues


    Recently bought the Sennheiser G4me Zero and the Soundblasterx G5 amp/dac combo. I play on the Xbox One S with a BenQ monitor. Currently am unable to produce both sound and chat using the amp. Running optical from Xbox to amp. USB from Xbox to amp for
    power. Headset has 3.5 cable coming from ear to y split (headset indicator and mic indicator) the amp itself on the front has inputs for headset and mic. When using the y cable it still only produces sound, not chat. Xbox doesn't even show a mic is plugged
    when doing it this way. Only way I can get both to work is by taking the y cable off of headset, plugging standard 3.5 mm cord in its place and going straight to controller which is great cause I can chat but the sound is quite and makes the amp useless. Am
    I doing something wrong?

    Hello Thumbstick,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Personally, I don't think you are doing anything wrong. The more third party accessories you have they may cause issues. When you have it directly connected, hit the guide button on controller, go to far
    right to system. See if you see audio there, if you do go to chat mixer and move the bar more to the left.

    I dont know exactly how it works but still, as far as I know any DAC/AMP or USB headset work with Playstation, not just a few chosen ones.

    I use the Sound Blaster X G5 for the XB1 and PS4. This thing is a BEAST. I connect it to my V-Moda Crossfade Wireless M-100 (which already sound amazing), I use the AMP/DAC to boost these babies to their full potential and get great 7.1 surround sound.
    Plus, the software you adjust the G5 with is great! I HIGHLY recommend this. I haven't tried the Astro A40TR mixamp, but I have heard good things. Good luck with your setup. (Sorry for the stupidly late response).
    How to connect the headset using control with input P2 together with dac / amp? Does the P3 plug of the headset go into the DAC or controller? How to send the headset microphone sound to the game?

    Xbox One S is unstable and I also struggle with audio lag

    The be clear for Q #2, I was thinking to tap the spdif digital sound output to a dac to use analog headset rather then home theater amp. For all I know the latencies might be caused by the amp. It is not an expensive amp and is a few years old.
