D3: Reaper of Souls: Ultimate Evil Edition Issue

I'm playing this on the One and I have no problem at all with the single player game or finding a 4 player multi -- however, when I and my friend, who's also playing on the One tried to have a 2 player CO-OP game - we keep on getting an error. We can both
connect to other people's games in 4 player mode so ports aren't the problem - he however does have his NAT as Strict -- we have played other online games in co-op mode (Need for Speed: Rivals for example) and that worked fine for us both. Sometimes the game
thinks that one of us is offline when we aren't - but that's a totally different issue. So, basically, one of us invites the other to join a game, the other accepts and then we get an error (no code or message) - the game simply refuses to connect us... Any
ideas as to how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition (Download Version) : English notification pops, but Achievement App shows achievements in German. Using preview dashboard.

 

Diablo 3 on Xbox 360

D3 Reaper of Souls is the expansion, and adds a lot of great content (and by a lot I mean one act). The base game is fun, and you'll have a complete story, but reaper of souls is just as good. I do believe if you buy Reaper of Souls for 360 that it comes with the base game as well.
Just looked it up, buying ultimate evil edition will get you the base game and reaper of souls for $40 (don't know what that is for you, but I would assume it's close to that).

 

If his NAT is strict then there is your problem right there.

 

Then how come we can play other games on both the 360 and the One (in co-op mode) without him having changed any settings in his router?

We have now actually opened several ports on his router, reset it and powered down his One, but to no effect - his NAT is still Strict for some reason.

 

Having not played this game yet, this is just based on past experiences. The issue revolves around the NAT being Strict. The console and some games have separate NAT settings (CoD: Ghosts) that gave me the same problem, could play online, but not with
my buddy, until I got my NAT open. There are many articles on getting an Open NAT setting and unfortunately I don't have time to find and paste one, but try that and see if it works.
