    d-pad on camo Xbox 360 controller cracked & broke at center support


    The transforming d-pad snapped off at the center post on the wireless controller. Is there a replacement part for this for purchase? The controller is past 90 warranty, about 1 year old (although broken for about 3 months) and otherwise in great shape, so
    I'm not feeling the urge to spend another $55+ to replace the entire controller. Honestly, I don't feel I should have to. It's a poor design (albeit it looks cool) with worse quality material for the amount of use that component (the d-pad) gets. Hoping for
    a solution. Many thanks in advance.

    The D-pad pushes in and out. When it is in, it looks like the one you have now. When you twist it, it pops up and gives you a little more accuracy when tapping left, right, up and down. It is a little better, but the PS3 D-pad is still 10x better imo. I
    love the 360 controller way more than a PS controller except the D-pad.

    The transforming d-pad on silvery Xbox 360 controller is cracking

    YES - mine broke.

    The cracking is the center support stick slowly breaking its connection to the D-pad cross.

    While you're playing, you'll feel it lean into whatever direction you're pressing and break away, a spring behind it will pop it towards you.

    I haven't replaced mine yet since I have a joystick to alternate into for fighting games but I will call customer service in a few days.

    Long time man! But I've been playing TONS of KI and my controller is just fine (just like out the box). It's funny because when I bought MK9 on the 360, the special D-Pad 360 controller they came out with broke within two/ three weeks but this X1 controller....
    NO ISSUE :)
