D-pad issues with NEW (3.5mm) Xbox One controller

Just bought the 1tb halo bundle with new controller and it works perfect d pad and all buttons work as should be so maybe its a bad batch you got but mine works great no issues?

 

I also just bought the 1tb MCC bundle with the new controller, however I also am having problems with pressing down on the dpad. The controller registers a down input when I perform half circle motions and when I firmly press down on the dpad. However light
taps rarely register an input.

 

I'm not having this problem but has anyone else's chat headset not worked on the new controller? Mine registers that it is there and I can use all of the buttons on the adapter bit and I can hear people talking but it won't allow me to talk

I'm having the same issue with the d-pad on a brand new Covert Forces controller. It's most apparent with light presses to the down button, but all directions seem to be affected. Is this a hardware issue or something that can be resolved by a firmware update?
