You could only do this on your Routers settings unfortunately.

Ideally you should be connecting on N at 5Ghz to get the best performance.

The console will connect using the best WiFi standard available to both devices and there is no need to try and lock it to using the older "G" standard.

The only way to limit your wireless speed to "Wireless-G" speeds is to manually configure your router's wireless settings. There is sometimes a setting for that, depending on your router. Look into your router model's documentation for instructions on how
to access those settings.

The Xbox One does not contain any settings to restrict your wireless speed -- it will connect with the fastest speed possible (Wireless-N).

So, does someone want to explain to me the G-Mode, or link me up a video. Sounds interesting...

hm.... okay, so i read that it probably isn't compatible when used with N but the thing is it is already on mixed mode, i have tried changing it to just g mode but that hasn't worked either.... so like is there something else I can do to make it work?
