D Drive

Discus and support D Drive in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I'm not able to install my games to the D drive.     Do you know if your D: drive is NTFS? Game Pass only allow games to be installed on NTFS partitions.

    - Go to Start > Computer > Right Click the drive you wish to check > Properties.

    - In the Disk Properties window, you will see it next to File system.

    If it's FAT32, just convert it to NTFS:

    Open a command prompt window by typing Command prompt in the Windows search box. Right click on it and Run as administrator. Type:

    convert D: /fs:ntfs

    Press Enter to being the process.

    The file system conversion process should not take very long and the on-screen details are fairly intuitive.

    Once completed, your FAT32 drive will be converted to NTFS. Close the Command Prompt window and you’re all done.

    If your drive is NTFS already and you still cannot install games on it, please let me know.

    that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, he wants to install on the D: drive, he has set the D: drive as the storage location, but the game will only install to C: so something is wrong with the software or drive format or permissions. he does not need to clear space on C: to install on D:.

    I had drive D configured for apps installation/games installation until i started getting this error. I change to C: but kept getting the same error.

    For me what worked was to change the drive letter from D to E and then it worked correctly on C:

    Something gets stuck trying to use drive D so remove it or reassign drive letter.
