D.C. Universe Online coming to Xbox One

Yep,the game that came out on PS3 about 5 years ago is coming to Xbox One this spring.

    | DC Universe Online

Did play this a bit myself on the PS3 & my memory of it was that the opening cinematic was the best thing about the game but I guess this is still free to play so i'll give it another go.

    :)

How do I change my date of birth on DC Universe Online?

If I remember you need to create a separate account to play D.C. Universe so op isn't on about their xbox live account, this is an in game account.

Best bet would be to contact D.C. Universe support via their website
    here
as this is a in game issue & nothing to do with Microsoft/xbox.

Red bad reputation. i want green Réputation. Solution ?

Games like Neverwinter & D.C. Universe are worth a try, both MMO's & free.Joining friends & playing Co-op should also help but it will take time to get your rep back into the green.

No one will reset your rep,the only person who can change it is you.

Honestly, can't remember & it's been so long since I played it & it's probably changed a lot since then.

I think there's the usual mmo transactions involved.

from what i remember they had a subscription model at first then they moved to micro rubbish, the game was meh originally so this one will most likely be the same.

Neverwinter is way better than DCUO. I played many hrs of DCUO hoping for it to get good but it never did. Others may like it though.

Call me stubborn and I may even miss out on a good game once in a while, but I refuse to play free to play games.

Really? Gems of Wars is free & it's so addictive.Simple little puzzle type game but really good fun.

Don't care for the game model.

Lot's of much better games to play instead.

Part of me wants this to fall flat on it's face because the "Free To Play" games are spoiled by the pay walls.

Part of me wants this to do really well because it's nice to see something that used to only be the domain of PC gaming come to console.

If only they could find a better way to get paid. One that would be a win for the publishers and the gamers alike.

The only reason I don't like free to play is because of the paywall. I would rather just pay upfront. Never even heard of Gems of War. Is it an X1 game?

    Yeah,it's an xbox one game.

Think Gems & Neverwinter were my most played games last year & I spent a grand total of £15 & got well over 300 + hours out of them. That was only because I wanted the Honey Badger in Neverwinter lol.

tried playing it when i got my PS4, don't think i even made it to the opening cinematic, i seem to recall most of the character creation stuff was locked with microtransactions, at that point i just backed out and uninstalled it.

It's actually not bad, I doubt it's aged very well though. lol This and Warhammer Online are the only two MMO's that held my attention for very long. But probably only because they both happen to be properties I like. DC and Warhammer. Played PC versions
of both, when they were, eh... new. lol

You pick a hero [mentor] between Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman [there are evil variants, but I forget who]... and the powers of your character reflect your choice. So Batman mentored characters are gadget-driven, and they get around the city with gadgets,
    and fight with gadgets.

Superman mentored characters can fly and all that jazz, Wonder Woman characters are magic-based. The character customisation options are many and varied, and you can create a pretty unique hero, but if you want your character to resemble existing characters,
like, to be a member of the lantern corps or whatever, you pay for those outfits, and effects.

There's an "escrow" system that allows you to build up credits. I believe there was some kind of timer attached to the raid-like gameplay [missions you party up for, that have no impact on the consistent world/city, and are entirely optional] if you weren't
a subscriber. So subscribers can level up faster than non-subs.

Microtransactions weren't at all invasive, at least I don't remember them being that way. Was a long time ago, and things might have changed after I stopped playing, or in some new iterations/port.

I have distinct memories of being in huge parties fighting Bizraro and Solomon Grundy... and they're not bad memeries, so, meh. It's more action-driven than a click-fest so it should translate well to console. But I guess people knew that already since it's
    been on PS3.

Worth a shot if you A: like the DC universe. B: embrace the usual grind of MMO's. C: enjoy partying up and kicking some butt... yo.

  15. Played quite a bit on the PS4 well over a year ago, No trophies without paying micro transactions = delete, can't see it being any different on xb1. And the game is hardly interesting
