    Cyberpunk deleted when I clicked “update”


    I have very slow internet, so I’m usually buying retail games. I have Cyberpunk retail, installed on my Series X. Today I saw a new update. It said 13.1gb (which can be downloaded in about 6-7 hours. I clicked on “update”, and in less than 5 seconds it was removed from the update queue. I went to check what’s going on, and the game is completely deleted, both data, save files and extra space occupied, wiped clean. When I clicked the “update”, my disc wasn’t loaded, but it usually isn’t a problem. It will probably take me 2-3 days to reinstall and apply the full update.

    Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Console

    If you go to `My Games` on the pop up menu after signing in you would see it listed there if it was you that claimed it.

    When I first set up my Cyberpunk One X I had to manually click on the `Claim it` box for the game, that part is not done automatically if I remember correctly.

    Did the console update itself when you first turned it on?

    Cyberpunk and Scarlett

    There isn't any specific information regarding Cyberpunk and which platform it will be released on, but Xbox is working on making all Xbox One games work on Scarlett as stated in their E3 briefing, and so if Cyberpunk releases on Xbox One it should work
    on Scarlett. If Cyberpunk launches on Scarlett then I doubt it will work on the current Xbox Ones (but I could be wrong, it may launch on both).

    I imagine that any upgrades to the game will be free updates, to everyone, except for graphical ones which will also be free, but only available for the applicable system, so the X won't get 8K updates since it can't do 8K for example.

    Best to wait until we get some more information on Cyberpunk and the platforms it will be launching on.

    I fixed it myself, first I deleted all my accounts which I don't think I needed then I clicked on connect to xbox live and a update appeared and I continued with the update then I downloaded my profile when it was done and it worked :)
