    This is my second copy of Cyberpunk 2077.

    I tried inserting disc 1 and got the problem i described. When I inserted disc 2 however i got a popup that literally told me to insert disc 1. Which implies my console read disc 2 and disc 2 told my console that this isnt the right disc you need to start
    with disc 1. On top of that Watch Dogs Legion which came out a month ago runs perfectly with no issues. So does every other physical copy I've ever owned. I have ringed discs that dont work on my 360 that work on my xbox one. After i ejected disc 1 of
    Cyberpunk i put in Ryse: Son of Rome and it is installing right now as i type this with absolutely no issues whatsoever

    You'll never have a 100% silent disc drive when it is reading data from the disc. As long as it is still reading/detecting the disc fine and not a loud grinding noise, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Hmm, a clicking noise...could be the hard drive.

    I have a similar problem. Whenever I put a disc in, it makes a loud grinding spinning noise, that I can best describe as sounding like a chainsaw. It won't read any discs or anything.

    Is it only loud when you put in the dead rising disc? Or is it always making the loud noise?

    Xbox series X fan runs loud only when playing Cyberpunk 2077.

    No loneSurvivor is right cyberpunk 2077 runs the fans louder than every other game. It's particular to this game that the fans are loud enough for me to notice the noise even while playing the game with a headset on. Also the people who respond to these forums don't have a clue they advise power cycle and uninstalling to every single problem. It's annoying.
