Cutting on/off randomly.

I've had 2 slim systems now, that have both had this issue. They cut on when not in use, and off while I'm in the middle of a game/movie. I've read a few of the older answers to this question, such as cleaning the power button, laying it on it's side, using
a different outlet, etc. Tried all of these. It turns on/off, by itself, less, but still does none the less. Any suggestions in 2015?

xbox one turns self on and cuts self off randomly

I've had my xbox one for a while. I have been having an issue with my system randomly cutting itself on and randomly cutting itself off. As for it cutting itself off .... sometimes its just after 5 seconds from turning it on to 30 or so minutes or even 2
- 3 hours.

360 randomly shuts off sometimes & when turned back on says it's overheated, but isn't!

Mine used to randomly cut off as well. It matches what you're saying too. Play it for about 30 minute to a couple hours and then it cuts off.

After a while, it just stopped doing that. I did talk to Xbox Support a couple times and they recommended buying a new powerbrick(which turned red when this happened).

Have you tried to clear the system cache?

settings- system- storage- Hover over HDD- Hit Y - select clear system cache- do you want to do maintenance ? Yes.

i dont think clearing system cache would work. might be a hardware issue either within the power brick by which the easy way to identify by looking at the light to see if it powers down as well or it can be an internal issue with the power button on the
front. if its an internal issue you might need repairs
support.xbox.com/.../getting-your-product-serviced or you could simply buy a new/used one

Guess that means its a non purchase. No point buying it if theres the potential that it may be randomly cut off at any point

Problem is still occurring and it has been happening randomly when I use netflix. Cuts me off xbox live completely and has me resign in.

Many wireless headsets are like that. They cut off randomly. I would prefer you using a wired headset. I have a wired headset that costed me $5 and it works perfectly never getting that problem.
