    So when it comes to customizing my profile I saw that Xbox has made changes not allowing you to have custom profile pictures and I was wondering if this is temporary and if it is not when will it be changed back to normal?

    Hello! This is temporary and you will get your custom profile picture back once this option is granted again. They disabled custom profile pictures because of the immense amount of traffic that is now on Xbox.

    Like other users have said this feature has been disabled due to the current pandemic. All gaming servers are seeing a surge during peak times and to ensure server stability they have disabled the feature with no ETA on when it coming back

    As of right now, it is temporary. You can still use Xbox pictures, but custom pictures are disabled for now. There is no specific date for when that will come back, but I’m sure it’ll be around when things calm down with COVID-19.
