Customizing "privacy and online safety" settings not working

So for a long time I've been trying to get Twitch to work on my Xbox One, and allow me to stream my gameplay. I've finally figured out that the problem was that my account was set to block broadcasting. Obviously I tried to change the setting, but every
time I open the "Customize privacy and online safety" menu, the setting "You can broadcast gameplay" has been reset back to "Block". I've changed it to "Allow" multiple times, but every time I check the menu again because Twitch still isn't working, it has
been changed back to "Block". Additionally, this is the only setting that keeps resetting itself. Everything else I change retains what I set it to.

How do I get this setting to stop resetting itself?

In my initial efforts I actually did try to do this. When I change my settings via Xbox.com and then load up my console, if I try to stream I get the same error. Sure enough when I open my settings it is set back to "Block". Turning on my console apparently
just reverts it back. Could it be that another setting is conflicting with this one?

 

I have had a similar problem I was playing cod bo3 when I quited the game to watch youtube or something on to load the and being offline try to go online and was greeted with a message saying something like you don't have permission to play on xbox live
I immediately checked my setting and they were set to block I changed it back because I was playing online that day I tried a couple of times with no luck I also changed other settings but no luck I was classed as an adult I made my self a child and when I
tried to change the settings through the parent account but it sayed that the settings I changed that didn't work said that they work through the parents account I was in a chat room with MS but no luck I am now being sent to an offline support team:-(

anyone solve this issue? I'm not bothering with microsoft support as ive dealt with them previously and are absolutely useless sending me to a call center in the Philippines .... Impossible to understand and themselves have no idea how to deal with the
issue besides giving me a reference number and to wait for a phone call which never happens.

My privacy settings are constantly being reverted back regardless of it i change them online via the website or through the console itself i literally cant participate online at all because my settings are being reverted to block all the time.

 

No solution yet. As Mister Cizl suggested, I contacted Microsoft support and they were able to understand my problem as well as document it, but they couldn't figure out how to solve it. They said they would forward my ticket to an "Advocacy" team and that
I would hear from them within 24 hours. As of this post it has been over 48 hours. I'm still waiting.

Hi everybody,

So I've noticed that when you set your "Privacy and Online Safety" settings to Adult, the broadcast gameplay option is set to "Allow" by default.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION I USED:

I wrote down all of my custom settings so that I could put them back to how they were. Then I changed my "Privacy and Online Safety" settings to the default "Adult" option. I verified that the setting I wanted to fix (broadcast gameplay) was fixed, and then
based on what I had written down for my other settings, I changed them accordingly to how they were. Broadcast gameplay is now set to "Allow" and does NOT revert back to "Block" whenever I leave the menu.

TL;DR - Write down all of your "Privacy and Online Safety" settings. Change your settings to the default option "Adult". Go back and change all of the settings you had customized using the written down information. All of the settings that kept changing
themselves should not do that anymore.

If you're still having trouble, please contact Microsoft support as I will not be investigating any further unless I encounter the problem again.
