    Customer Support not Helping with Warranty


    So about four days ago I was finally fed up with pieces and buttons breaking on my elite series two controller so I decided to check the warranty and see if I could get a replacement. I checked the website and it told me that it was way out of warranty,
    but luckily, just to make sure I scheduled a call and spoke to a representative. He said I was in luck because they just extended the warranty on my controller to a year from purchase date (mine was purchased Dec. 9th). This meant I was still in warranty for
    a couple more days. The agent then said he was going to transfer me to tech support for my email and for directions on mailing. For some reason the call failed to transfer and it just hung up. I called the next day and another agent told me that it was out
    of warranty in October? I hung up and called another time the next day and was told the same thing until I argued about what the first agent told me and the representative put me on hold while he asked a higher up what the problem was. After waiting for 20
    minutes with no answer, I was told that I will be emailed the next day when they have an answer. That was December 6th, now it is the 7th and I was never called or emailed. I was starting to get frustrated and called them another time, once I was about to
    get transfered to an agent they hung up. The name of the agent who said he would call back/email is John and he gave me the number to the support ticket. I feel like I am being avoided and its almost like they are stalling until my warranty is ended. Please
    help?

    Alright, after another 3 reps, and 2+ hours today, I finally got one that said they do not have a stock of the headset for replacement and just offered me credit to my account. Better then nothing but obviously the credit cant be used directly towards a
    replacement headset.

    The fact it took this level of craziness is disturbing for a warranty claim.

    Have you tried going through the xbox support page then warranty there? Make sure that you have your device serial number registered to see if its actually covered.
    Hi, the only contact the website gives, and the warranty book number gives is one and the same. Using the "helpful" chat ai bot and asking for a callback and waiting for that.

    This headset has no serial number. Just a barcode, a model number and a S5V-00014. And I doubt that's a serial number since it's part of the the title from the retailer I bought it from
