custom Xbox 1 gamer-pic images are only available for adult accounts

I have a adult account and I went onto the Xbox App and attempted to put on a custom gamer picture and it stated "Custom images are only available for adult accounts" even though the account is an adults. So then I proceeded onto my account on the Xbox 1
console and attempted to put on a custom gamer picture and it states "for custom images, you need to be older" but my Date of birth is 11/10/1968 on my Xbox live account so there is an error.

Custom profile pic only for adults

Basically when i try to change to custom profile pic it says: Custom profile pictures are only available for adults. I checked that my account is an adult so why is it Still saying that?

Adult default account still can’t upload a custom image

hi I have a adult default account for my Xbox and there are no privacy settings restricting me but for some reason I still can’t upload a custom image for my gamer pic because it says I don’t have a adult account

Hey there xFatalOriginals.

It sounds like when you originally set up your account the date was set incorrectly. Unfortunately there isn't a way to change your birthdate, so you'll need to wait for your account's originally set age to reach 18.

Changing the birthdate of your account after the fact doesn't change your status

Only father time can change that

These are the important notes for your custom gamer pic to upload properly according to the official Xbox website: https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/profile/change-gamerpic-on-xbox-one

"-Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts.

-Your image must be at least 1080 x 1080 pixels.

-Custom gamerpics are subject to the Xbox Community Standards. Images that violate the standards can result in enforcement action by the Xbox Safety team.

It might take a little while for your custom image to appear while we verify that it’s OK to use. (If it’s not, the image will be reverted to the last gamerpic or avatar you were using.)"

Since it has been a week and it hasn't shown up, it might be possible that the gamer pic was not approved by the Xbox Community Standards. You may try uploading a different gamer pic to see if it will work.

I recommend that you sign into your Microsoft account on the Xbox console, use Profile & system and open My profile.

Use customize profile then, use change gamer-pic. Open Upload a custom image, then select the image.

Personally I do not use a custom image as a gamer-pic. I have no images saved on my Xbox console as files, to upload as a custom gamer-pic.
