    Custom GT was working on Xbox, but has now reverted back to the original GT.


    I just opened a new account with Microsoft, and changed my username from the default one to a custom one. I signed in on Xbox, and it showed my custom one, but randomly reverted back to the default GT! The app on my phone, plus my account settings I have open on my laptop still show my custom GT, and I even changed the picture. But it still won't show my custom name on Xbox, what gives??

    The problem seemed to have fixed itself, not entirely sure what had happened. Thank you though.

    Update your profile information Access your Xbox profile and check if your custom username is still correct. If not, try editing and saving your custom name again. Make sure your changes are saved correctly before exiting the page.

    Check data sync There may have been a sync issue between your Xbox account and Microsoft servers. Try forcing a data sync by following these steps:

    On your Xbox, go to settings and select "Account."
    Choose "Delete Accounts" and select your Xbox account.
    Confirm account deletion and then restart your Xbox.
    After restarting, add your Xbox account again and check if your custom username is restored correctly.

    Controller Firmware Update - Messed up my controller?!?

    So they say that if you go back and revert the firmware it should fix it…

    Please try reverting the firmware on your controller to the previous FW by following these steps on your Xbox console.

    To do this, Navigate to My Games and Apps, > Apps > Xbox Assist > Articles > Console & Accessories > "My controller has connection issue after the last update" > Check controller firmware > Revert Firmware

    The problem isn't changing my gt, it's about my current gamer tag has reverted back to it's old gt. Very annoying because I didn't like my old gt

    Are you still having problems using a custom Gamerpic? I don't know if it is a known bug but this is what I did to enable custom Gamerpic.

    My Profile > Privacy Settings > Game Content > You can see and share content

    Set the option to "Everybody" in order to upload and use a custom Gamerpic. Anything other than that and your custom Gamerpic reverts back to an avatar or one of those generic ones.
