Custom gamerpic issue

Hello, I am having an issue on the xbox beta app. I want to change my gamer picture to a custom one but when I try it tells me that I cannot because I'm not over 18, but my accounts birthday is over 18 and I don't understand why this is happening. Can anyone
help? Please and thank you!

one thing I have found that may be useful in this situation...

There is a difference in adult content settings and an actual adult account.

Anyone can say they are any age by putting in any birthdate.

The only way Xbox can actually verify that you are actually an adult is if you have
a credit card that is in your name associated with your account.

After Microsoft recently rolled out the new option for everyone with an adult account to upload custom gamerpics and set them as their gamerpics after being approved, I was very excited, however after repeated attempts, I was met repeatedly with a message
saying I must be older to set a custom gamerpic. When my account was first created a year or 2 ago, it was accidentally set as a child account at the age of 15-16. After chatting with an Xbox Support Agent who was very friendly, I was told that even though
my account had been fixed awhile back and is now an adult account with the proper age, the system recognizes it as the original and that I would simply have to wait out the 2-3 years for it to naturally graduate what it thought was a child account to an adult
account. Is there anyway Microsoft/Xbox that you could improve and or fix this in the system. It is very upsetting and disheartening that a feature I have been waiting quite awhile for is finally out but I can't use it for years on end due to the system recognizing
the wrong details in my account. If possible, please respond asap. A loyal Xbox gamer and fan, Bryce.
