    So basically I was hyped about the new insider thing to have custom profile pictures and such. Today I went to go and change it but I couldn't, it kept saying I'm not 18 or older. I tried everything I could from changing settings to my birth date and I even
    contacted support. They said that the Xbox recognizes that I am not actually 18 from when i changed my birth date and I literally have to wait until my account matures and stuff before I can change it which is ridiculous! Its not fair for everyone that didn't
    know this was gonna happen that have a dumb child account, my account is a child one because my mom made it and she used her email to lock it down. I have everything on unrestricted so why am j not able to enjoy a custom profile picture like everyone else?
    I dont wanna have to wait 3 more years just to be able to do it, or make another account for no reason. Custom pictures need to be made for everyone or at least people that have child accounts but have their settings on unrestricted or 18+.

    I really dreamt of having a custom gamerpic, but sadly it's only available for adult accounts. The picture was gonna be a Bendy And the ink machine face. (also referencing my username. check it out its a cool horror game) please add this feature to child
    accounts, and if it's innapropriate, give them a warning. or send an email to the parent account saying what they did. I know what do do with pictures. and i'm really creative. please add custom gamerpics for child accounts. thanks. -Scar

    Uploading A custom Profile Photo

    Changing the birthdate under your profile doesn't changes your child account to adult.

    Only the parental account can upgrade a child account when the service registers that the account has reached 18+

    Unluckily only adult accounts can post custom profile pictures for obvious reasons

    At the moment you have to be 18 or over to use custom gamerpics.There is no way around this.

    Whether that changes in the future,who knows but at the moment there is nothing you can do.

    I understand now I just looked it up, I didn't know they changed it so a child account Can Not upload a custom pic. Thanks for the heads up Njal the Blue.

    Hi I doubt they will ever allow custom pictures for child accounts. It is a safety thing, ensures your child can't put a photo of themselves up (which could attract grooming) or using images that are unsuitable (drugs related, gun related, no copyrights)

    These are just a few examples as to why custom gamer pics are locked for child accounts

    Unfortunately there is no way to transfer game data between accounts.

    Yes with child accounts there are restrictions like not being able to set custom gamer pics which basically means he would not be able to take a picture with say his phone upload it to his console and set it as his gamer pic. Microsoft does have regular
    pictures that he can choose from to change it to he would just not be able to change it to a custom picture.

    Your own custom picture in profile is only for adult account. You are child, your parents made for you child account.
