Custom gamer pic not working!?

I recently change my account from a a custom one to an adult one for custom gamer pics. But whenever I try to upload one I get a message that says, “for custom images, you need to be older.” I’ve tried signing out and that stuff yet it tells me the same thing every time…?

That is because you unfortunately you can not do that

You need to wait until the account "turns" into an adult by itself according to the initial birth date. This is to avoid childs changing the birth date.

It is very important to set the birth date right the first time

I heard on the Xbox one beta app that you can use an image for a custom gamer pic, is that allowed for a custom gamer pic?

custom gamer pics were suspended, but now we are allowed to upload custom pic

If a custom gamer pic violates the terms, i believe it can no longer be changed to another custom pic.
