Custom Gamer Pic: Issues and Questions

I first bought my own Xbox back in may 2014, when i was at the time 14 year old. I was a mature boy who decided to do the right thing and set up my account with my proper age and made a parent account for my mum and everything. I REALLY want to change my
gamerpic, I turn 18 on the 20th of september this year. I asked the Australian Xbox facebook page whether or not on my 18th birthday my account would switch from a child account to an adult account and allow me to change my gamerpic. They referred me to support
forums and a phone number. Here i am now.

I actually deleted the parent account email and tried changing my age so it appeared i was already 18, but from my understanding a child account stays a child account until i turn 18????

Additionally, it would be very much appreciated if i didn't have to wait and could be excused so i could upload a custom gamer pic, i understand rules against crude and nude images being used as custom gamer pics, i don't plan on doing such things.

has anyone else not been able to use a custom gamer pic. Or even see friends custom gamer pic. I load one up and it says wait for approval. Then never load in. It not a bad pic either

No.At the moment all you can use is the gamerpics provided or an avatar pic.

Using anything other than that is a violation of the ToU/CoC but custom gamerpics is something that is being looked into so it may be a feature in the future.

as far as I know a profile should turn Adult automatically when eligible, which in your case I assume would be 18 years old.

I'm not sure it was a good step to remove the parental account, because a account still needs to be able to set settings a child account can not.

I don't think any exceptions can be made regarding changing the gamer picture, so you will have to wait until the account turns 18.
