    Custom Controller- headset issues


    So I have a custom controller that's 2 months old and recently bought a headset. Well I'm currently on my third different headset because every single one doesn't work in the controller. However I decided to test this most recent headset in an older controller.
    Much to my surprise it works...

    My question is how can I go about fixing the new controller so I can use a headset with it?

    I wil be on my 4th Console

    Honestly they are the worst company to deal with regarding customer issues, mine went on for a few months and in the end I recieved about 3 controllers, a years xbox live, 2 headsets and a couple of games. It was an absolute nightmare!!!

    Fabulous console but dire support..

    Xbox One Elite Controller Headset Issues

    I had a issue simular to this. I updated my elite controller with the headset adaptor and headset plugged in. I haven't had any problems since then. Are you having headset issues with standard controller or only the elite?

    Is this common with the microsoft customized controllers?? We are on our 2nd customized controller with this same issue. First one we had roughly a year when it started, second one is a month old! We have about 10 other xbox one controllers, most older
    than these that have never had any issues?! What gives???

    When it comes to hardware its best to try and make sure we know what's not working properly. First have you tried two different headsets on the controller? If both headsets have the same problem it means its probably the jack on the Controller.

    If you don't have a second headset you could try plugging the headset into another Xbox Controller and seeing if your having the same issue. If the issue happens on both controllers then we would know it is the headset causing issues.

    If it is an issue with the remote you can contact customer services and see if its covered under its warranty. If it is an issue with the headset then it would need to be a replacment on the headset.

    Headset stopped working after Firmware update 3.1.1221.0

    Hi, thank you for the response. Yes, the headset and mic work with another controller with an older firmware.

    The headset, once plugged into the controller with newer firmware, there is absolutely no audio from anything and the mic does not work. The controller does not recognize the headset at all.

    Please note, the controller in question is a customized controller from Microsoft.
