Current update freezing at 66-68%

Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds.

Power cycle the Xbox by unplugging the Xbox from the wall outlet and let it sit for about 5 minutes. And disconnect any USB devices from the Xbox until that update is complete.

When you power the Xbox back on, make sure it's plugged into the wall outlet and not a power strip

Try the update again.

If the update fails, try the console reset using the Reset and Keep My Games and Apps option.

If you can't access the menu options you can try this -

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
7. Choose Reset this Xbox and then choose Reset and KEEP my games and apps.

NOTE: The thumbsticks won't work on that screen you'll have to use the d-pad

I got a ASUS RT-68, really fast, feature rich and has a great interface. It cost me just a little over $200 but if you want to stay below $200, the RT-66 is a great alternative. I had a similar issue where the Xbox kept saying NAT type was Moderate. The
RT-68 (and RT-66) has a "Xbox Live Optimized" option in the wireless settings, I turned that on and made sure UPNP was turned on as well. I also set my cable modem (which is also a router) to a NAT type setting of bridged (this way the ASUS router does the
NAT handling). The Xbox now shows my NAT type as Open.

same here. Xbox was stuck a 66% for HOURS! i tried the hard reset and updating offline via USB and the Xbox is stuck again at 66% again updating with a USB stick!

I have both and dragon plate (not scale) has the better stats though I do like the look of the daedric armour.

I followed the system update link and was successful in re-applying the system update, but still get a system freeze and signal lost to tv. I did leave the game disk in the drive, pulled the power supply cord and then restarted the console.

With that , I got the E-66 code, but only if I leave the game in and re-power.

I just don't understand why only the new game releases cause this freeze......
