current titles you have been let down by...

Titanfall. mechasault for original Xbox was more fun. but I would still pay $10 for a campaign add on. can't justify new maps with out enough players.

 

Halo:SA and CoD:Ghost, both were a waste of money because neither were fun for me.

 

For me, I feel let down by Killer Instinct Classic. I was hoping for feelings of nostalgia and awesome, but because I've been spoiled by much better looking games that also play much better today, I felt like I was playing some horrible-looking, cheap, garage
game that was completely unbalanced and unfair.

 

BF4 its a broken piece of crap game and IDK how anyone can honestly enjoy it.

 

Dead Rising 3 - Wouldn't say I am completely let down with it. As I do enjoy it. It's just the controls seem to be letting it down a little for me.

Battlefield 4 - When it works its the best multiplayer FPS game around. But unfortunately most of the time it is broken. They have improved it a bit but still some issues.

Killer Instincts - Never played a KI game before. I am more of a Mortal Kombat fan and not much of a Street Fighter fan. After playing Killer Instincts it just ant for me. But am not sure weather I can say I was let down by this as I was not exactly going
into it with a positive attitude about the game.

 

Forza 5. It lacks so much content. I was bored of it after a week.

 

Probably Forza 5. I loved playing it and still consider it to be a great day one game for the system but I've hit level 100 now and if there was just more tracks I'd put so many more hours in to it. The game can be as good as it likes, there's only so many
times you can do a linear circuit race around Prague.

Also, this was less of a let down as it was more of a punt but I really thought Need For Speed might have sorted out it's ways and produced the first quality game since PS2. I was mistaken. I hate it whilst I was playing it but as soon as I turned it off,
I never had any urge whatsoever to put it back in.

 

Upinya, I enjoy BF4. I'm a patient man, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited it out for them to fix the numerous issues with the game. I also don't like swearing off a game even after it's fixed just to spite the company - the fact they've largely
improved it shows that it really is a great game and that they know they made a huge mistake getting lazy during development. I may not like what the publishers/developers did, but I'm not going to let that prevent me from playing what is otherwise a great
game (that is to say, it is a great game now; it wasn't before). Right now, I'd say it still has a few bugs to iron out, but certainly no more than any other game at this point. Still, to each their own...

 

My SP saves reset three times on Battlefield 4. Enough for me to put it in the "games that I might pull out for visitors" category, and it's borderline "sell on" at the moment.

Titanfall is excellent, Forza is Forza (I never put years into them, I use it as my tech demo and realistic driving sim), Peggle is bloody brilliant, Dead Rising 3 is very very good with a beautiful world and a bunch of AI, and I'm waiting on Watch Dogs.

 

Thief and Black Flag, both great games dont get me wrong and i enjoyed playing em but they're just so short and the content is just padded out by having boat loads of collectables etc the awesome aspects of each soon wore of and the game started to feel
like a chore.

It's this trend that's also putting me off Watchdogs, it boasts loads but if by loads it means thousands of collectables, some kind of view type thing ie synchro towers and repetitive re-playable missions (like GTA 5 txt missions online) then i know that
in a month I'd be adding it to this list aswell.

even if they do manage to fix it. In my opinion its still a poor game. out of the 3 big shooters out now (CoD, titanfall, BF4) it's by far the least fun and balanced game of the 3. it does have its moments where its kinda fun, but those moments are few and
far between. Levolution was a bust, the maps are poorly designed, and the game is way more random then skill. I'm just not a fan of what they did with the game.

 

Black Flag and Titanfall to some extent .. and i say that because i never thought Titanfall was going to be as extravagant as some thought. it was an MP only shooter and that to me was already behind the curve. unless you're really into competitive MP,
the game will become a bore to you quite quickly.

 

Wow, Upinya, I simply must say... I disagree with everything you've said. It has been, by and large, fixed -there's no "if" as you put it. I personally think CoD is the worst of the 3 you mentioned; I love the concept of "levolution" because it offers something
new and game-changing during the match; the maps are largely realistic (aside from many a empty room); I also don't think it's random at all - it just has a higher learning curve and requires a lot more in the way of teamwork.

I guess it really is a matter of opinion and personal tastes.

Also, VD, I played through the campaign in 2 sessions with BF4 at least 2 months ago and never had any of the save issues you've mentioned (although I've heard of it before). When was the last time you tried?

GG, it was a while ago but I forgave them once, forgave them twice, and cursed them the third time.

I also scored .6KD on MP and am much more at home on shooters like CoD and Titanfall.

 

None have been a massive let down, and none have been overly amazing either.

I only have Ghost, Ryse, and TF, and the DR3 demo.

Bits of the games are really good but nothing actually truely excels.
