This is getting ridiculous now. Seems while I was asleep from 4am-6am it went back to its normal speeds then when I woke up its back to it's original slow download speed. Tried all the steps given and even had a rep go through the steps with me.

 

I switched my primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 (google's DNS settings) then cleared my mac address (which resets the console). Im now downloading at full speed. For anyone else using comcast this might be worth a shot. You can access the settings
on your xbox one under settings -> network -> advanced settings. Goto DNS settings -> manual -> enter the numbers. Then goto alternate mac address -> clear, it will ask to restart your xbox say ok (this may or may not be necessary, but its what I did.)

Im not network savvy but it seems it wasnt an issue with xbox, but rather funny business comcast does to cut costs. They redirect you to their own personal delivery system rather than microsofts... and theirs is running ultra slow right now. By using googles
DNS settings you can connect directly to microsoft's servers and avoid the rerouting from your internet provider.

However after you are done downloading you should switch back to default DNS settings because in some areas comcast wont count the bandwidth towards your monthly cap if you go through their network. But when you go through googles it will count towards your
monthly bandwidth limit.

Thats essentially the summation of all my reading and how I understand things. Figured I would pass the information along in hopes of saving some others the trouble.

This may also work with other providers, but I can report success with comcast as im now downloading 30x faster than before. Either its worth a shot, you can always change your DNS settings back to automatic to restore the default.

 

Still not working. All my other devices including my 360 work fine.

 

Having the same problem here right now. I'm trying to download the Ascendance DLC for CoD: Advanced Warfare. It keeps dropping anywhere from 0-5mbs. Even though I have 60mbs wired download speed. It even says I have that speed when I check the detailed network
statistics. However, whenever I check the bandwidth it says I'm getting that 5mbs speed. I've tried the basic troubleshooting already as well.

Having pretty much the same issue as everyone else. First noticed it this weekend when trying to download a system update. Took several hours to download a approx 30 MB update on a 30 Mbit connection. Didn't really have any time to look into it over the
weekend so I just let it go. Noticed the issue again when I purchased Gears of War a few hours ago. Took several hours for the download to get to 3%. Tried everything on the support page for slow download speed. Restarted everything on my end, restarted the
download several time. Nothing seems to fix it. Xbox tests at 30 Mbit/s. Multiplayer games play fine, Netflix streams fine, only the download seems to be a problem. Even tried switching my DNS to googles servers like a few people have suggested without any
success.

Yes my speeds back to normal. Thanks Xbox Support Team/Jeebus!! Is it anyway we can find out the reason why this been happening?

 

I have been having the same problem since the 4th. The Xbox itself and all my external tests report download speeds between 25 and 30mbs. The Xbox won't download games any faster than 1.8mbs. It took over 36 hours to down load the Forza 6 demo, The Forza
6 Ultimate edition has been downloading for over 60 hours and has just reached 50%. So, no, the issue is not resolved.

 

For downloading updates and games, xbox live is an absolute joke, and it has been for a long time.. I've got a 154mb connection (wired to xbox) , speed tests at this moment in time are showing over 160mb and I can hit 18mbps on downloads. I'm currently trying
to download a 250mb update (preview dash) and so far it's at 80% after 30 mins which is quite normal on live. It makes me wonder what the hell I'm paying for?????

 

Been a problem since day one.

Had the same issues with GTA 5 when it was released for the xbox one.

It never gets resolved and they only ever give you token responses.

 

ok first people stop posting your network info on here, those ips are for your network only. none of that is helpful. So if you post a 10.0.0.X or a 192.168.0.x you are waisting your time. I have researched this issue and so far can only find that this is
happening with Comcast customers. to boot i set up my xbox on my Verizon aircard and was able to download faster than i could on Comcast even though i was pulling 150+ Mbps on comcast. so that means that this is an issue between the ISP and MS.

Admins, this situation is not resolved. from my research MS has been aware of this for over a month.
