Current, terrible downloading times

I have seen there are some posts similar to my own situation, but the more people post, hopefully the more microsoft notices.

My situation:

Purchased brand new Xbox One, 1 Terabyte, Master Chief Edition and then separate Gears of War Ultimate Edition. I arrive home at 6pm, hook the console up and enter the MCC code to find that the download speed is incredibly slow.

I look at the connection specifics to find the console could download at 90 megabits per second but goes no higher than 3-5 megabits per second. Latency is at 62 with 0% packet loss. (I have never seen a modern piece of tech download at megabits per second.)

The Xbox is wired to the router through a 3 foot cable, router is brand new, and the internet provider has stated the modem has no issues. The modem, router, and xbox one have all been restarted multiple times and I have even tried plugging the Xbox directly
into the modem.

I stopped the MCC download and used the offline trick to download Gears of War in just under 2 hours, then a slightly less time than that for the update. I later returned to the MCC download and allowed that to run all night to find it only at 50% complete
this morning. Youtube videos run fine on the Xbox One as it downloads at terribly slow speed. It was also the only thing connected to our home internet for the night.

For comparison the PC I am currently typing from has a speed capable of up to 86 Megabytes per second, downloads steam games/updates at the bare minimum of 1.5 Megabytes per second, and can download entire movies from Itunes very quickly. It is wireless
and on the other end of the house.

Now, questions:

How many people are experiencing this problem? Is this a continuous problem since the console's launch?

Is there something one can do to actually utilize the possible 90Mbps the Xbox One tells me is available?

What has microsoft officially said about this problem?

Why does the download from disk take so long when offline? On my Xbox 360 I could download games from disks in no time.

I did talk to a tech through the online chat last night and he politely said the case has been documented, but I am curious about the community's perspective.

Download speeds have been terrible since last night on Xbox live. I'm having issues myself but I'm being told its on my end, when in fact, my speeds are great.

 

Having the same issue. Multiplayer games, netflix , and youtube all work fine.

Downloads on Xbox One page a try. If that doesn't help you out, please post back with your Region, your internet provider, and a screenshot of the advanced settings page for your network here: Settings > Network > Advanced. We'll be able to pass that information
along to the appropriate people and work on getting this resolved.

 

I have been trying to download Shadows of Mordor for 5 hours now and it is only at 24%. I have rebooted, checked network speed ect.

Also tried hard reboot of Xbox and everything else.

So I just checked on my console to find that it was at 95% complete downloading the MCC. It's download speed had jumped from 3-5 up to 50Mbps. Checking on it a few minutes later it was making jumps up to 200 and 700. Something definitely just happened
in the last hour or so to fix it.

After restarting the console after the download was completed the stats are:

Download speed: 82.47Mbps

Upload speed: 11.79Mbps

Packet Loss: 0%

MTU: 1480

Latency: 63ms

Thank you for fixing this issue. In the future if there is a known issue with the servers, could microsoft just send out a courtesy message stating they know about it? Most google searches make it appear as though it is a constant, continuous problem since
launch that the Xbox One has slow download rates.

I'm having the same issue just started happening a few days ago. Not just the games but the apps downloading super slow for me as well. Tried everything and even spoke to a rep. Issue still isn't resolved I figured it has to be something on their server
end.

Id you are puting the download in the background dont

Stay in the download screen and let it download and dont play anything else

.(backgroundinf the download does let you play games but also slows down your download
