Current profile cannot connect to Xbox live

Okay so my problem is every time I try to play Xbox live in any game, it says my profile doesn't have the correct permissions to play or something along those lines. ive sure that everything is on allowed, I've verified email, and waited over 24 hours
after redeeming my Xbox live gold card. I'm getting a little bit frustrated because I can't figure it out. Anyone know what I could possibly try to get to live?

Yes not working, looks like live is down. If you disconnect the net connection it'll let you load your profile on the One but you cannot connect to the Live servers.

 

DLC question

Are all the profiles on the same xbox?

If they are, it wont matter which profile you DL it under. If they are on different machines, you will need to use your kids machine to DL.

DLC is linked to both the machine and the gamertag. DLC can be played on all profiles on the machine that it was downloaded on without any issues.

You can also move the hard drive to another machine and play it on that however, you can only do that if you connect to live with the profile that downlaoded the DLC. You cannot play DLC by this method without being connected to live.

 

You're not showing as gold here, so if you did redeem a gold code, you may want to try checking

Nope. I tried on the website and it said the code was already used.

 

Xbox is currently having issues since yesterday January 26 2016
