cuphead laptop problems

ok so i installed cuphead on my laptop its the xbox anywhere one and i keep trying to play it iv tried using a controller and iv also tried the keybord anywhay i get to the start screen and it says press anything to start well iv literly pressed everything
and the game never started. i have cuphead on my xbox but i want to be able to play it on the go but its not letting me because none of the buttons work to start it. does anyone know what to do? please and thank you

Can you make sure the controller is plugged in and detected by your computer, then restart it for me? Then try re-launching the game for me.

So make sure your keyboard isnt still active when yoir trying to use the Xbox Controller and make sure its bluetoothed together - Thanks

my controller doesnt bluetooth to my laptop i connect it by cord iv tried but no bluetooth

troubleshoot game installation on Windows 10. The bottom one usually helps the most.
