Cuphead is not recognized as belonging to my Xbox profile.

Dear everyone,

I have an issue with the game Cuphead. I can launch the game on my Xbox One, but I cannot launch it on my PC or my Xbox Series X (I have only the possibility to buy the game). Yet, the game is "Xbox Play Anywhere" so I should be able to launch it on the three plateforms.

After investigation, I think the main problem is that the game is not recognized as belonging to my Xbox profile.

I tried to disconnect all my profiles from my Xbox One, but I can still launch the game on the console (which is super weird). Usually, when we disconnect all profiles, all digital games cannot be launch (and no, I do not own the physical version of the game so there is no CD in the Xbox).

I think there was an issue when I redeem the code few years back, which causes the current problem : Cuphead does not shown in my order history and I can only launch it in my Xbox One (as it was attached to the console instead of a profile).

Could someone please help ? I do not want to pay the game twice in order to play it on PC and on my Xbox Series X.

I have bought myself the console new and we had no friend having an Xbox at that time (so your assumption regarding my brother cannot be true). Again, I am sure that I bought the game a few years ago and I think something went wrong when redeeming the code.

No explanation have sense regarding my issue yet.

Can I check which account are using my Xbox One as their Home console ?

People have bought consoles new before and still had the console set as someone else's Home console. Again, without it showing in your order history, that would be the only explanation as to why you can play it on the One and nowhere else.

It could have been someone who did it before you owned the console or if a friend of you or your brother did it.

It's not possible for a game to be linked to a console and not a profile.

Thank you for your help ! No one exept my own profile and my brother profile had my Xbox One set as their "Home console". I already have verified the order history for both of these accounts and Cuphead is not part of them.

That is why I think something went wrong when I redeemed the code in my Xbox One using my profile. It should have been linked to my profile, but instead the game was linked to my Xbox One console.

Moreover, the game appears on the "Owned games" section of my Xbox One library (so I'm 100% sure that I own it).
