Crunchy Left Joysticks...New Controllers

I purchased the newest white xbox one controller on 9-11-16. The 1st day playing Titanfall the left stick began this crunchy double clicking thing. Tried using but it just doesn't respond. So I took it back to gamestop. Employees agreed and exchanged it.

Now fast forward to today. 10-9-16. I am on my 5th NEW CONTROLLER. Microsoft I want a controller that WORKS. Ever since the release of these newer controllers I can't get 1 WORKING CONTROLLER. Gamestop Management and employees agree it's a problem that
Microsoft needs to fix.

I have made 5 round trips to Gamestop and 4 phone calls to Microsoft. Nothing has happened from Microsofts end as in taking responsibility in THEIR faulty China made controllers.

I do expect reimbursement for my TOTAL inconvenience and fuel costs.Not to mention all the time I've spent trying to just GET 1 WORKING NEW CONTROLLER.

GI Classic: Xbox One controllers are best all-time

I've heard a ton of people say their Elite Controller and original One controller not last....They are basically same thing, but I don't think as bad as people say. But One S I think is a new controller internally, either way I think the One S controller is likely better than Elite.

My original bundled controller left joystick when pushed in and spin in it, it gets crunchy, but my 2nd 3.5mm controller been just fine and I got it used, plus I dropped it on purpose to prove a point, and it's still just fine.

My GoW4 One S controller is brand new in comparison, so we won't know how long term they are, it definitely feels way better than the first two.

Xbox Controller Joystick Problems

Why is it that everytime i buy a new controller, the stupid joysticks end up not working properly after only 2months of playing on it? On both of my fairly new controllers, the right joystick turns camera in any game im playing for no reason. Super annoying.
And for one of my controllers, the left joystick has a issue with going forward in games i.e. walking or selecting stuff in menu. And for the other controllers left joystick, it had a 50%chance of strafing? Im not made of money and this has happened on several
controllers, not just the two i currently own. ive probably had 10controllers or more. Is microsoft trying to fix this? Do i have bad luck? WTH? Makes me wonder if theres a third party controller thatll work right for say, 1 whole year would be nice?

I have a new adaptive controller and have the adaptive joystick plugged into the usb on the left side of the adaptive controller, yet the joystick will not control the left thumbstick in any direction. This is my 2nd adaptive controller keyboard and
first joystick ( first thought pads on adaptive controller were touch pads). I’m hoping someone else has had this issue and is an easy fix. I turn the adaptive controller on first, then my regular controller. I’m praying this is not a second return of the
adaptive controller or a first of the joystick.

Hi Longarm,

I had to remap the control keys, and now rudder pedals are ok.

Steps:

Create a new profile for rudder pedals on Controls menù on Pro Flight CESSNA Rudder Pedals section.

Brakes

Left/right brake - Joystick L-Axis X /Joystick L-Axis Y

Flight Control Surfaces - Primary Control Surfaces

Rudder Axis - Left/Right - Joystick R-Axis Z

Now I missed switch panel / Radio Panel / Instrument panel, but I'm working on that.

If it the regular Xbox controller or a special kind?

All Xbox controllers have this problem. It is a little grey chip in the left joystick that re-centers the stick. The problem is, the plastic of that chip is so fragile that even a slight nudge at where the chip is located(Right Side of Joystick) will break
it off. At the moment I have not found a way to fix this but to buy a new controller for a silly problem.
