    It doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon. You can't sign into Fortnite on multiple platforms with the same account. They haven't found a fix for that yet.

    The lack of choice to shut off crossplay on the Xbox version of Call of Duty: Warzone needs to be addressed by Microsoft immediately

    Yes but Fortnite is at least crossplay across the board. Warzone is currently optional crossplay on PS4 and mandatory on Xbox One, not a good look.

    Currently only Rocket League and Fortnite allow Crossplay between Xbox and Playstation.

    In fact, with the latest 8.1 update on Fortnite, you are now
    "forced" to play Crossplay according to this source    .

    Also the
    official Fortnite 8.10 Patchnotes     mention:

    "Battle Royale Crossplay Matchmaking

    • Combined Xbox One and PS4 pools.
      • This requires you to opt-in to cross-play.
      • Players opt-ing out are restricted to Creative Mode and Playgrounds."

    So, with these two games, you can now already play with Playstation people.

    I cant add my friend on battlefield 2042

    xbox series s and x are crossplay with pc, xbox one is not as stated in all of EA's documentation, they stated that xbox one and ps4 are not crossplay with pc but they are with each other, only those on pc, xbox series s/x and ps5 are fully crossplay, this is why you cannot invite each other.
