cross-play Minecraft between ps4 and xbox

it won't let me cross-play Minecraft between ps4 and xbox, it keeps asking me to update parental control but wont let me

is your Minecraft up to date and is the other person on ps4 because I think they haven't done cross play for both of them yet only a select few games have cross play between Xbox and ps4

There seems to be a bug signing in to Microsoft accounts in Minecraft on PS4. Mojang say on twitter that they are aware of the problem, and are working to fix it.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Are you the player playing on Xbox One? The ability to cross-play is behind a privacy setting. If you are playing on a child account, you would need to have this setting adjusted by the parent account. Please
